All Kirby vacuum cleaners made prior to 1979 were sold with a cloth bag and emtor system. Some Kirby models made prior to 1979 could be retrofitted with a cloth bag assembly that contained a simple rigid tube inside. This assembly usually used a Eureka style F & G bag.
