Visitor : I have a hooveer floormate 30330 and I need to chang out the seal. how is this done?

Paul : I don't recognize that model number they usually start with 'H'

Visitor : I need to chang the seal on the solution tank how do I do it?

Paul : Do you have the complete new assembly? It should be valve stem, seal and spring.

Visitor : can you send me instructions?
Visitor : not yet I need to know what I have to have and how to.

Paul : Has the old assembly fallen out?

Visitor : no it leaks badly
Visitor : I assume the o ring is caput

Paul : You're probably right.

Paul : Take a look at keys 70, 71 and 72 on the next line.

Visitor : yup thats it

Paul : You simply place the valve seal over the valve stem with the flat side down until the valve seal seats in the groove in the valve stem. You place the spring on top and push the whole assembly into the hole until the valve seal is completely inside. That's about all there is to it.

Visitor : Ok But its the getting it out I need
Visitor : I need how to get it out Paul since I can only get at very little of it fro the outside

Paul : Just take a pair of needle nose pliers and pull the valve stem out. You might be left with the seal inside the unit, but you should be able to jiggle the spring out.

Visitor : ok I was afraid of damaging the pin

Paul : You mean the black plastic valve stem?

Visitor : yes
Visitor : in my case its white

Paul : Possible I guess, but you should be able to shake out any left-over pieces if you turn the tank upside down.

Visitor : Ok I'll try it Worst case I will have to rode the whole assembly . Tanks for the help and have a ggod day

Paul : The important part is to be careful not to damage the hole where the assembly fits in. But if you're reasonably careful, you should have no problem.
